Locksmith Ang Mo Kio
At the North eastern region of Singapore, lays a planning area known as Ang Mo Kio also abbreviated as AMK. In terms of population, AMK is the third amongst the highest populated areas in Singapore. Considering the entire country, AMK is ranked number 8 in terms of population. It is bordered by major planning areas of Yishun area to its north. The northern east part of AMK borders the region of Sengkang whereas Seragoon lays squarely to its east. Bishan borders AMK to the southern region as well as the central water catchment to the western side. The region was once a rural area which had minimal developments. This was before the area was exposed urbanization. The region mainly depended on farming. Most of the parts were covered by deserted dense forest as well as swamps. There were minimal or no development projects at that time and people depended mainly on agriculture.
The year 1973 marked a beginning point when the housing and development board began to redevelop this region. AMK marked the seventh satellite town to be set by housing and development board. The town’s setup completed around the year 1980. The year 1986 saw the development board establish three town councils in Ang Mo Kio. This was a major part of the pilot project for development. The plan was later accommodated under the town council act of 1988. The region kept growing between the year 1970 and 1980. Business started emerging and continued growing. many businesses that began during this period stand as major landmarks in modern days. Among those businesses is sheng Siong supermarket which is one of the largest in Singapore today. Ang Mo Kio has today been fully urbanized. This has made the city become a major attraction for investors. A lot is still expected in terms of development as the city is highly targeted by business minded individuals.
